Joy whelped 8 healthy pups on June 20, 2024: 4 blacks, 4 yellows; 5 girls and 3 boys.   Only the 2nd pick of two yellow males is available (see below:  Purple or Blue collar).

Joy was the first and youngest female pointing Lab west of the Rockies to earn the trifecta of APLA 4xGMPR, HRC Hunting Retriever Champion, and AKC Master Hunter, all by the week of her 3rd birthday.  Joy passed both the APLA Triple Crown and the AKC Master National in 2023.  Both Joy and Rowdy are fantastic markers, have great line manners, are quiet in the blind, have well-balanced temperaments, and are extremely biddable, with nice off switches when they’re not working.  They also quarter nicely within gun range, point staunchly and rarely miss a bird in the upland field.

Genetic testing:  Embark and Paw Prints DNA health testing all clear on both sire and dam.
Health testing: Both sire and dam have excellent hips; normal elbows: normal advanced cardiac echo; and normal CAER eye exams.
Both sire and dam were tested and certified in accordance with the OFA Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) protocol.

Jewel is the daughter of APLA Hall of Fame 4xGMPR-TC Frosty Breeze of Lockdown Lab MH (“Breeze”), also owned by Rosemary and Don Banducci.  Jewel is a remarkably consistent competitor who marks well and is a great teammate in the field.  She’s a go-getter when it comes to retrieving but a couch potato when it’s time to relax at home.  She passed the 2023 APLA Triple Crown and also placed first in an all-age field trial.
